Introducing Nawt Ayei: Exploring AI in Code, Business, and the Maker World

Artificial Intelligence is transforming how we build, think, and create—both in digital and physical spaces. Nawt Ayei is a personal journey and living archive to document this transformation as it unfolds. From software to sawdust, this site dives deep into the practical applications of AI across domains, blending modern development tools with maker technologies like CNC, 3D printing, and woodworking.

Purpose of the Project

The core mission of Nawt Ayei is to explore AI across a wide range of business and creative use cases by:

  • Testing platforms and AI products

  • Developing useful applications

  • Integrating AI into physical prototyping, such as:

    • 3D printing

    • CNC machining

    • Laser cutting

    • Woodworking projects

It’s a space for experimenters, builders, and tinkerers—and a place where success is shared alongside lessons learned from the inevitable hiccups.

Project #1: This Website

The very site you’re reading is Project #1—a foundational showcase of what’s possible with modern, AI-enhanced development tools.

  • 🧠 Built entirely on Replit using their new Agent V2

  • 🔧 Tech Stack: Python, Flask, HTML, JavaScript, and Google Gemini integration

  • ✨ Graphics and Assets: All initial visuals were created with ChatGPT-4o’s image generation

  • 🧠 Smart CMS: The backend uses AI to help auto-generate SEO metadata and summaries for each blog post and project entry, improving discoverability for both search engines and AI crawlers

Lessons Learned

This project is more than just a tech stack—it’s a mindset shift.

My biggest tip?

👉 Explore and play with as many AI tools as you can.

This field is evolving so quickly that tools you chose six months ago may already be outdated or surpassed. I revisit my entire toolset every 3–4 months to stay efficient and competitive.

Expect things to break.

Seriously. One of the best ways to learn how these tools actually function—and how you might use them in your own work—is to experiment, fail, and figure it out. This insight also helps you set realistic expectations if you’re recommending or integrating AI for clients, coworkers, or collaborators.
